“Time is probably (like perspective) the mode of our perception.” - C. S. Lewis
Serial Stardust comprises two video projections in a corner of the room, formally presenting numerous orbits (ellipses) of concentric circles in perspective constructing two simultaneous cones - like a symmetrical simulation of sand flowing into an hourglass. The work explores the relativistic temporal worldlines of the Sun, Moon, planets, Fauna, Flora and various elements, in a light installation of optical illusions in which the perspective of the flowing sand of an hourglass that marks the passage of time resembles to light cones of past and future.
A composition of serial temporal worldlines relating the dilation of a minute of time, which contracts or lengthens in each element relativistically to an observer placed in the fourth dimension where spacetime illusion is clear.
"For the Present is the point at which time touches eternity." - C. S. Lewis
Consciousness Hourglass an optical illusion reflecting a timeless continuum or time superposition at a quantum level as a world’s consciousness. The work is part of Serial Stardust.
The project Serial Stardust was developed at Arte Código residency and exhibited at Calcular na Areia exhibition at Casa do Brasil in Santarém, Portugal
