24 June 1978, Lisbon 9.30am corresponds to Margarida Sardinha’s date, place and time of birth while in the video a baby’s face resurfaces continuously on a Polaroid suggesting the eternal cycle of rebirth – samsara. The artist’s birth written facts remain the same for by challenging the boundaries of “reality” and liberating oneself from the fabric of phenomenal rebirth one realises moska which is the ultimate goal of an individual’s lifetime. At the moment of birth one’s individual fate is imprinted in the sky according to astrological studies but every person chooses via his\hers own individual actions and deeds one’s birthplace and body onto which its essence reincarnates. Making us unique in our Polaroids, our personal photographs, and most importantly in our own life’s path.
